Hello everyone! Today is the day before the official booktubeathon begins!
I am super excited and can't wait.
This read-a-thon is just for fun and to diminish your TBR pile a little bit (which mine needs as much diminishing as possible).
Along with this are a bunch of challenges that you can do. I am hoping to complete all of them.
1) Read at least 300 pages a day:
This might be a bit hard for me, especially since I do work long shifts this week, but it wouldn't be called a challenge if it wasn't supposed to challenge me.
2) Read a 500+ paged book:
The book I will be reading for this is Eldest by Christopher Paolini. This book is somewhere over 700 pages. It's long, but I am trying to finish the series.
3) Re-read a book:
I have several books that I may just re-read because it's a readathon, but I will definitely be re-reading Delirium and Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver because I can't remember anything that happened and need to refresh my memory for Requiem.
4) Finish a series or trilogy:
Of course this one will be the Delirium trilogy by Lauren Oliver.
5) Read a Book that's been on your shelf forever:
I will be reading a book I got from my Aunt for Christmas one year. It is called A Train in Winter by Caroline Moorehead. This is about women dealing with occupied France. One of my favorite genres to read are memoirs and historical fiction because I think it's interesting.
6) Listen to an audiobook:
I'm not sure what audiobook I will be listening to, but I will let you know. I have never listened to an audiobook so this will be my first time, but I'm excited to do this because it will help make the four hour trip from home to college a lot more bearable.
7) Read a classic:
At first I was going to read Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, but then decided to pick another one since I've already read that a million times and I have about 500 more classics on my shelf to read. So instead I will be reading The Red Badge of Courage by Stephen Crane.
Let me know if you're going to be doing this read-a-thon. :D

Once Upon a Read-a-thon Wrap Up
Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing great on this fine Thursday.
The Read-a-thon is officially over, but don't be sad because there is another one coming up called the Booktubeathon.
Anyway, it's time for me to tell you what I read. Unfortunately I did not do amazing. With work and a four year old brother taking up all my time it's hard to find time to read.
I read three books though, and even though it's not more than that it is one book a day, which is pretty good for me.
1) Keeping the Moon by Sarah Dessen (228 pages)
2) The Short second life of Bree Tanner by Stephenie Meyer(224 pages)
3) The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares (336 pages)
Total of pages: 788
Now looking at the number of pages I read, I feel a lot better in what I've read.
If you've participated in a read-a-thon tell me about it. And if you have any tips they would be very appreciated.

Once Upon a Read-a-thon Mini Challenge #2
Hello! I'm here with another mini challenge. I don't know about you, but I really enjoy challenges.
Alright. So this challenge is by Kristin at Better Read Than Dead.
Find her here: http://www.angelsdemonsandvampires.com/
This is the question she asked:
Alright. So this challenge is by Kristin at Better Read Than Dead.
Find her here: http://www.angelsdemonsandvampires.com/
This is the question she asked:
You're in a bookstore and you've just purchased 5 books you've been dying to read, when the apocalypse hits. (Zombie, Demons, Vampires, Dean Winchester vs. Sam Winchester (yes, I'm watching Supernatural reruns) I don't care what apocalypse). You've got on chance at survival, what 2 books do you take and what 3 other items do you take?
This is a very different, and somewhat difficult question to answer. I think the books that I take would have to help me with survival so I think I would take The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks and probably a book where you see how the characters survive. This book would most likely be World War Z also by Max Brooks. Call me crazy, but I think he's got it. (Even though I haven't read either book, they have to be able to help me right?)
Second part of the question: This would have to be a hefty bookstore to help me with these other items in order to survive. I'm going to make this a Barnes and Noble Bookstore with a Starbucks in it. I would definitely get a knife from the Starbucks area, probably also some food, and a backpack to put all my items in so I don't have to carry them around in my arms.
Of course I would have these items, but if a real apocalypse really happened, I don't know if I would be able to stay alive. But man I sure would try. And I would definitely try to get strength from my favorite book characters. Trying to remember how they got through it all and how I can too. I sure hope that would work....

Once Upon a Read-a-thon Update: Day 2
So just so you know, the read-a-thon is going well. I don't know if I will get all the books I wanted to read done, but I am trying my best.
Yesterday I re-read Keeping the Moon by Sarah Dessen. I have been re-reading all her books and found that The Truth About Forever (although it's great) is not my favorite book of hers anymore. I am very much in love with This Lullaby and Keeping the Moon.
I also read The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner by Stephanie Meyer. Sue me, I like the Twilight series. I really enjoyed this novella and it got me to enjoy Meyer's Twilight series again. Because a lot of times (or maybe it's just me) you hear comments about something that change your opinion. I feel like that happened with Twilight (also the first movie- which sucked!), but now that I've read that book I began to remember her writing and really enjoyed it.
Today I went to the library because well, I can. I got a bunch of books for my four year old brother whom I am trying to get to fall in love with books. (It's working splendidly by the way) He never goes to bed without a story and was so excited at the library today. We got a bunch of Spongebob Squarepants books, Winnie the Pooh books, and a book that I heard was good by a booktuber, Viridian Reads on Youtube. That book is The Story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf. She said it was a great book and it's the present she always gives to people for baby showers, so I thought I would try it out and see. I'm excited.
Anyway, I guess you want to know what I got today. I got The Sisterhood and the Traveling Pants trilogy by Anne Brashares. It's a summer trilogy and I heard a lot of good things about these books. I am really excited. I also got Paper Towns by John Green which is the only John Green book I haven't read yet. I am really really excited about this one, because who doesn't love John Green?
So that's what's going on and I hope to finish all those library books by the end of the read-a-thon. I don't know, maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I am going to try.

Once Upon A Read-a-thon Mini Challenge
This Mini Challenge is brought to you by Stephanie from Cover 2 Cover Blog.

Here she has a list of questions to answer:
1) Which book are you most excited to read in the coming year? It can be already released or coming soon.

1) Which book are you most excited to read in the coming year? It can be already released or coming soon.
The book I am most excited for is Allegiant by Veronica Roth. Her books are amazing and I love Divergent and Insurgent. I can't wait to finish this trilogy, even though I may cry at the end of it because it is over. :'(
2) Which book would you re-read if you had the time and weren't so busy reading ALL of the other good things?
I would re-read Divergent by Veronica Roth. This is one of my favorite books and enjoyed it very intensely. Of course, I will most likely make time to re-read it before Allegiant comes out.
3) And lastly, if you could meet any fictional character who would it be and why?
This is a bit tough to answer. I would like to meet so many characters, but I think I would have to say Harry Potter. Who wouldn't want to meet him. He was the savior of the world and wouldn't you want Hogwarts to be real? I sure would.

Long Time Gone
Hey everyone!
As you probably have noticed. We have not been keeping up with the blog as much as we should. This doesn't mean we haven't been reading, it just means that we haven't been writing reviews. My cousins and I have been rather busy due to schoolwork and all that.
However, with the summer coming, though I will still be busy and my eldest cousin will probably be too, we will try to bring back this blog.
Thanks for your patience and sorry for such a long absence!
